Middle-aged bitches ‘invisible’ in the arts – claims

Tabitha Montague, a ten-year-old Chihuahua, has spoken out about the under-representation of middle-aged bitches in the arts.

Tabitha appeared in three television commercials in her younger years, as well as being the face of a short-lived brand of discount toilet paper, but has not received any offers of work for several years.

“Bitches of a certain age are ‘invisible’ as far as the arts are concerned,” she told The Lab Report. “Unless you’re a puppy or can do tricks, you might as well not exist. Turn five and the phone stops ringing.

“It’s ridiculous because bitches of my age absolutely do exist in ‘real life’. We are consumers, we have opinions, we have experience and character and, crucially, we are viewers.”

Tabitha had vowed not to complain publically about the apparent obsession with youth and novelty, but felt provoked to speak out after a man walking past her window failed to notice when she barked at him.
